On September 26, 2012, the shareholders of the Winslow Green Growth Fund approved a plan to reorganize into the Brown Advisory Winslow Sustainability Fund, part of the Brown Advisory Funds. The reorganization will occur after the close of the market on October 19, 2012.

Simply put, after the October 19, 2012 reorganization, shareholders in the Winslow Green Growth Fund will become shareholders in the Brown Advisory Winslow Sustainability Fund. What this means for current Winslow Green Growth Fund shareholders:

  • Going forward, the Brown Advisory Winslow Sustainability Fund will be guided by the same environmental principles that have historically guided the Winslow Green Growth Fund, and it will be managed by the same investment team.  Both Funds’ objectives are the same: to provide capital appreciation through investment in a portfolio of environmentally driven growth companies. 
     

  • Brown Advisory has been responsible for the management of the Winslow Green Growth Fund for several years. We believe that shareholders will continue to benefit from Brown Advisory’s breadth and depth of experience, as well as the firm’s commitment to maintaining Winslow’s sustainable investment legacy and the ideals that guided Winslow’s efforts since its founding almost 30 years ago.
     

  • The table below summarizes how DIRECT Winslow shareholders will communicate and conduct transactions after their accounts are transitioned to the new Fund. If you own the Winslow Green Growth Fund in a brokerage account, please contact your financial advisor or brokerage institution for more information.

    We have tried to provide as much administrative continuity as possible. For example, shareholders who use Winslow’s online shareholder service tools will be able to access Brown Advisory's system with the same login and password; and all preferences regarding automatic investment plans or systematic distributions will carry over into accounts in the Winslow Sustainability Fund. Shareholders who have invested directly with the Fund should be aware of the new contact information for correspondence and transactions; the table includes the new addresses, phone numbers and wiring instructions shareholders will need to use after October 19th.
